There is no better way to witness the 2022 Wildebeest Migration and the wonderful landscapes that have made Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park renowned.
Discover two of the Seven Wonders of the World! This tour blends the high drama of the Wildebeest Migration in 2022 on the Serengeti’s vast grasslands with the magnificence of the World Heritage-listed Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On this five-day Wildebeest Migration safari, you’ll monitor the huge herd’s movements while also seeing three of Tanzania’s most famous national parks. You’ll begin in Tarangire National Park before spending three days tracking the movements of the Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti. After that, you’ll conclude your journey at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 1: Arusha- Tarangire National Park.
Day 2: Tarangire- Serengeti National Park.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Day 4: Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater- Arusha
Day 1: Arusha- Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast, you’ll leave Arusha for the two-hour journey to Tarangire National Park. Along the trip, you’ll see lively Masai settlements and the huge, open grasslands that have come to symbolize Africa.
After entering Tarangire, your game drive will begin through a spectacular vision of unending golden Savannah that surrounds the Tarangire River. The river itself runs all year and serves as a critical supply of water for the region’s animals throughout the dry season. The river, which is lined with acacia and Baobab trees, is frequented by the park’s vast elephant population as well as other herbivores like as zebras and antelopes.
A picnic lunch with a view of the river is a terrific way to soak it all in, but keep your eyes peeled as the local monkey population will do all it can to remove you from your food!
While driving through the park, you may observe lions, leopards, Cape buffaloes, and a wide variety of antelopes. If you’re lucky, you could even encounter endangered species like the Greater Kudu or the Fringe-Eared Oryx.
After you’ve finished your day’s driving, you’ll retire to your lodging for the evening.
Day 2: Tarangire- Serengeti National Park.
We’ll eat an early breakfast since we have a full day of travel and fun ahead of us!
We’ll start the day with a lovely journey to the Serengeti. We’ll proceed through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can spot Cape buffaloes, baboons, or perhaps elephants and leopards in the deep foliage.
The trip to the Serengeti park gates takes approximately four hours, but you may break it up with one or both of the extra activities listed below:
Museum of the Olduvai Gorge: The Olduvai Gorge Museum, often known as the Cradle of Mankind, honours some of the earliest traces of human settlement ever discovered. You can witness some of the world’s earliest fossil evidence of human habitation here, as well as visit the Olduvai Ravine Museum to learn more about the human journey and enjoy the breathtaking vistas of this austere gorge land.
Visit a famous Maasai boma, where you’ll be able to observe (and participate in) traditional Maasai dancing, explore a real Maasai hamlet, and even do some souvenir shopping at the local market.
Both of the aforementioned activities carry an additional fee. Talk to your tour coordinator about including them into your schedule.
It’s time to visit the Serengeti proper after a lovely lunch at the Serengeti National Park picnic spot. Experience Africa’s renowned savannah scenery and be astounded by the sheer quantity of animals that wander these green plains.
Dinner and stay in the Serengeti National Park, based on the standard and kind of accommodation selected from our selections.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
You’ll get up before dawn to go on a sunrise wildlife drive. You’ll have the best chance to witness predators in action when the sun sets on the savannah, as they take advantage of the low light and lower temperatures to seek for an early meal. It’s a great time to view lions, leopards, and cheetahs in the wild, as well as wildebeest, zebra, and other herbivores in the early morning.
You might even soar to the sky with a morning hot air balloon tour and champagne breakfast. Speak with your safari specialist about including this once-in-a-lifetime adventure into your safari itinerary.
Following your memorable morning, you’ll return to your lodge for a late breakfast and to clean up before resuming your journey with a picnic lunch. Your driver will choose the ideal route for you based on the time of year and the type of animals you want to see, tailoring your day to optimize your chances of seeing the Serengeti’s rich species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, we immediately return to the Ngorongoro Crater National Park.
Our drive takes us back into the Serengeti on a new path, giving us lots of chances to see the creatures that escaped you on day two. Thousands upon thousands of animals in herds may be seen as far as the eye can see; wildebeests and zebras travelling together, tall and beautiful giraffes, leaping antelopes and gazelles, the muscular African elephant, and the most revered group of creatures: the predators.
You will get the opportunity to see slim cheetahs and timid leopards, foraging hyenas, and, of course, the king himself, the lion.
Dinner and overnight stay on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or in neighboring Karatu Town, depending on the standard and kind of accommodation chosen from our alternatives.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater- Arusha.
After breakfast, you’ll travel for Ngorongoro Crater, which some regard to be the World’s Eighth Wonder. When you first see this wide, verdant caldera from the panoramic perspective, you’ll understand why it has such a high reputation.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to over 120 animal species, including the famed Big Five, is one of the world’s most sought-after safari locations. It’s a great site to watch the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely lunch on the grass plains, as well as vast numbers of hippopotamus relaxing in the cold water.
You’ll be able to view and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces from the comfort of your open-top car. The crater is home to numerous predators including as lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a big population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, Cape buffalo, and other species. It is, without a doubt, one of Africa’s best safari places.
After the day’s thrills and excitement, you’ll have a picnic lunch beside the park’s famed hippo pool. Following that, you will return to Arusha by car
