Most visitors who visit Bwindi’s Rushaga Gorilla sector come to see the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat, however, there several activities or things to do and see in the Rushaga Gorilla Sector in Southwestern Uganda.

For a visitor who wants to spend more time with the Giant Apes, you need to book gorilla habituation permits in advance, a maximum of 4 people are allowed to habituate mountain Gorilla for 4 hours on all-day gorilla habituation encounters in the Rushaga area of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Travelers who want to backpack on gorilla trek in Uganda in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park or Bwindi Impenetrable National Park must pack hiking boots, a Long-sleeved shirt or blouse, long trousers, camera with a good battery and space, pair of binoculars, hat and sunglasses, raincoat, hiking socks garden gloves, and insect repellant spray.
