Crater Safari Lodge is a luxury safari Lodge positioned on the brink of the second largest crater lake in Uganda – Nyinabulitwa Crater Lake about 7km from Kibale National Park. The views from the lodge are remarkable and each room has a view of the crater lake below.
Crater Safari Lodge offers incomparable luxury, breath-taking scenery and outstanding opportunities to observe the unique wildlife. On the banks of the Nyinabulitwa Crater Lake, Crater Safari Lodge blends perfectly with its surrounding landscape.
The Lodge is near to the primate capital well known as Kibale National Park, with 13 primate species most of which are Chimpanzees. The park is dominated by rainforest, interspersed with tracts of grassland and swamp. Chimpanzee tracking and Chimpanzee habituation is the main tourism encounter at Kibale National Park.
The Lodge has been designed in such a way that it doesn’t intrude on its pristine surrounds. Thatched cottages with wooden balconies provide the perfect luxurious encounter. Hammocks and garden swings on the grounds of the lodge add an extra element to tranquility to your remote safari encounter. There are 11 thatched stand-alone wooden cabins and 10 standard pool facing chalets, each catering for a different style of guest.
The main lodge houses the bar, restaurant and lounge. The compound is the perfect place to relax around a roaring and crackling fire, to share stories about the day’s activities. The sparkling swimming pool adorning the manicured lawns is the perfect place to soak up the African sun and enjoy the panoramic views of lake.
