MOUNT GAHINGA LODGE

Mount Gahinga Lodge is up market magical mountain lodge situated in the foothills of the virunga volcanoes, Mount Gahinga Lodge lies in an exclusive back trap of the three volcanoes namely Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhavura on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At Mount Gahinga Lodge was built using material from mountain and the forest around, the lodge has six stone guest bandas with papyrus roofs, all room are complete with en-suite bathrooms with modernized toilets, double vanity and shower with hot water (solar heated). All the rooms at Gahinga Lodge are all rooms are furnished with their own fireplace. The lodge has a high level of comfort, style and elegance.

This luxurious lodge is known to be Uganda’s second gorilla destination, Mount Gahinga Lodge-Mgahinga National Park is the only park in Uganda which boosts gorilla trekking, tracking golden monkey which is one of the rarest primates in Africa-about 11 primate species are habitat at Mgahinga National Park.

At Mount Gahinga Lodge there are guided walks you can decide on which volcano to hike- Sabinyo, Muhavura and Gahinga. Usually visitors at the lodge opt to hike Mount Gahinga which a few hours hike and the easiest; at the bottom of Mount Gahinga you are able to see scenic calderas, at least three calderas can be seen one being Gisuzi.
