Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gisenyi Border (Grande Barrière)

Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver guide at Kigali International airport or your hotel in Kigali by 10 am for transfer to Gisenyi Border (Grande Barrière) our Congo representative will pick and transfer you to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Lunch in Goma and transfer to Virunga National Park. Dinner and overnight in Kibumba Tented Camp   

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

After an early breakfast at Kibumba Tented Camp, trekkers will head down the hill to meet their Ranger guides and have a briefing before the gorilla trek. Treks usually require 1-2.5hours of hiking each way, depending on location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After spending the allotted hour with gorilla family group, trekkers will make their back to camp, enjoy a late lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure, including time for nature walks and bird watching.

Day 3: Breakfast in Kibumba, proceed back to Kigali for drop off.

Wake up to a tasty breakfast and journey back to Kigali. Depending on your departure flight time, you will be able to do a city tour visiting the Genocide memorial site in Kigali and Caplaki crafts village for souvenir shopping and drop off at the airport for your flight back home
