Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your own driver guide or representative will meet you at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport-JRO or Arusha Airport-ARK) and bring you to your hotel. You’ll spend the night in Arusha before your activities begin the next day.

Day 2: Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your Arusha hotel, travel for Tarangire National Park. It is Tanzania’s third-largest national park and home to a surprisingly high elephant population. The park’s majestic baobab trees are an intriguing feature, dwarfing the animals that graze underneath them. Animals congregate near the Tarangire River, which serves as the area’s only stable water supply. There is a wide range of species, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to 6,000 elephants. You’ll go on game drives and have a picnic lunch. We will travel directly to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after lunch and a lengthy wildlife drive inside the park.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife watching. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s biggest intact calderas, home to around 25,000 wild animals. It has more prides per capita than any other country on the planet. The Ngorongoro Crater is a stunningly magnificent location and the finest spot in East Africa to witness the Big Five, which include lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. It is one of the world’s most incredible structures, the eighth wonder of the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The black rhino can be readily seen in the crater. Consider another location in the world where you may witness such a distinct setting with diversified landscape, abundant species and birds; it’s an ecosystem unlike any other. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and travel directly to Serengeti for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer from Serengeti National Park to Karatu

After breakfast, you will continue touring the enormous Serengeti with its limitless grasslands in search of big cats. The Serengeti boasts the world’s biggest animal migration and is a renowned African safari destination. The Serengeti is arguably best known for its migration. Every October and November, about a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras migrate south from the northern highlands to the southern plains for the brief rains. After the heavy rains of April, May, and June, they’ll whirl west and north. The ancestral drive to migrate is so powerful that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can stop them. After lunch, you will drive directly to your Karatu lodging for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a game watching drive with a picnic lunch. The park’s diverse terrain attracts a diverse range of African wildlife, including one of the continent’s greatest populations of elephants and Manyara’s famed tree-climbing lions. There will also be enormous flocks of flamingos drawn to the lake by the algae. Lunch will be served at a picnic area, followed by further game viewing. Later, you’ll travel back to Arusha or arrive at the airport to catch your next departure.
