The 3 Day Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari take you adeventuring the floors of the primate capital of the world, Kibale National Park, protecting one of the oldest montane forests in Africa. Staying in modern forest lodges in Fort Portal, a colonial town near Kibale forest, you’ll head into the rainforest jungle in search of a habituated chimpanzee troupe and with the protection of jungle rangers, spend an hour or so in the presence of chimpanzees watching them groom, eat, nap fart and play the chimp games. An African jungle adventure sure to leave your empathy bag all filled up.

Kibale National Park located in the southern part of Uganda is a habitat to over 13 species of primates that include the Chimpanzees, L’Hoest Monkeys and the Black and White Colobus Monkeys among many others. Due to the parks close proximity to Queen Elizabeth National Park there is evident predominant movement of wild animals between both National Parks, look out and maybe you could catch sight one some.

Detailed Itinerary

Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe International airport, you private 3 Day Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari will pick and transfer you to your booked hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. Accommodation before the trip starts can be arranged at an extra cost.

Day 1 – Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you will set off your first Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari day for Fort Portal Town en-route to Kibale Forest National Park where your Africa jungle experience will take place. You will stop over in Fort Portal for lunch and a brief tour around the Crater Lake.

Arrive and check in at the hotel/lodge right in time for your evening dinner.

Day 2 – Kibale Forest Jungle Adventures

Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Nature walk or hike

Early morning breakfast will be served at the lodge after which you will transfer to Kanyanchu Tourism Center for briefing and the Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari will start at 8:00am. The chimpanzee tracking experience will take anywhere between 2-5 hours involving hikes through the forested landscape that covers vast forest floors of Kibale National Park.

In that afternoon you will step out for the nature walk at the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. During the nature walk you expect to observe plenty of bird species and some primates like the Vervet and L’Hoest Monkeys. Return to lodge for Dinner and evening chat

Day 3 – Transfer Back To Entebbe

After your early morning breakfast, your private Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari driver your diligently tranfer you to Entebbe or Kampala with lunch enroute. You’ll get into Entebbe right in time for your flight back home.
