Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari Adventure
The 3 Day Kibale Chimpanzee tracking Safari takes you to the most famous chimpanzee jungle in the world, Kibale Forest, where you’ll get adventure experience to spend time in company of nature and the most researched human-like creatures in the world – the habituated chimpanzee families.
Kibale National Park located in the southern part of Uganda is a habitat to over 13 species of primates that include the Chimpanzees, L’Hoest Monkeys and the Black and White Colobus Monkeys among many others. Due to the parks close proximity to Queen Elizabeth National Park there is evident predominant movement of wild animals between both National Parks
- Day 1 – Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
- Day 2 – Chimpanzee tracking, Bigodi Nature walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Day 3 – Morning Game Drive and Afternoon transfer to Kampala
Day 1 – Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast you will set off for Fort Portal Town en-route to Kibale Forest National Park for your Kibale Chimpanzee tracking safari experience. You will stop over in Fort Portal for lunch and a brief tour around the Crater Lake.
Arrive and check in at the hotel/lodge right in time for your evening dinner.
Day 2 – Chimpanzee tracking, Bigodi Nature walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning breakfast will be served at the lodge after which you will transfer to Kanyanchu Tourism Center for briefing and the Kibale Chimpanzee trekking will start at 8am. The chimpanzee trekking experience will take anywhere between 2-5 hours involving hikes through the forested landscape that covers vast chunks of Kibale National Park.
In that afternoon you will step out for the nature walk at the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. During the nature walk you expect to observe plenty of bird species and some primates like the Vervet and L’Hoest Monkeys. You will return to the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Dinner and Overnight stay at Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 3 – Morning Game Drive and Afternoon transfer to Kampala
After your early morning breakfast you will embark on a morning game drive through the savannah landscape of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Some of the animals you expect to see on the game drive include Buffaloes, Lions, Hyenas and Antelopes among others. The morning game drive will last anywhere between 3-4 hours after which you will return to the lodge and prepare to travel back to Kampala or Entebbe.
