The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours, and along the route you will see amazing views of the local people, farmlands, traditional homesteads, the Rwenzori Mountains, and tea plantations, among other things. You will stop for lunch in Fort Portal before continuing on to Kibale National Park, where you will check into the lodge for supper and an overnight stay at Chimpundu Lodge (luxury), Isunga Lodge (midrange), or Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget).

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Chimpanzee Trekking: On the second day of your 6-day Kibale, Queen, and Bwindi Wildlife safari in Uganda, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide to proceed to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for chimp trekking briefing about the laws, regulations, and expectations of chimp trekking. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a chimp family to hike with and a park guide who is well-versed in forest pathways. Chimpanzee trekking safaris in Kibale National Park takes approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. Once the chimps have been located, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat where you will learn more about their life style, behaviors, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flash less camera.

Transfer to Queen: Following your one-hour interaction with the chimps, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will meet your driving guide and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, you will stop for lunch before continuing on to the park, where you will embark on an afternoon wildlife drive to see creatures like as elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and warthogs, among others. After the game drive, you will be driven to the resort where you will check in, eat supper, and spend the night at Elephant Plains Lodge (luxury), Elephant Hub Lodge (midrange), or Pumba Safari Cottages (Budget).

Day 3: Morning game drive/lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise

Morning Game Drive: On the third day of your 6-day Kibale, Queen, and Bwindi Wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the resort for a morning game drive/lion tracking excursion in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive, you will see the dawn, the big four mammals (lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes), as well as smaller creatures such as waterbucks, bushbucks, and Uganda kobs, as well as many bird species. You will return to the lodge for lunch after the wildlife drive.

Afternoon Boat Cruise: After lunch, you will go on an unforgettable boat ride down the Kazinga canal, a body of water that links Lake George with Lake Edward. During the boat ride, which lasts about 2 to 3 hours, you will be able to see large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, as well as buffaloes, elephants, and warthogs drinking water along the banks, as well as water birds such as yellow-billed storks, cormorants, hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, and fish eagles. You will also be able to witness fisherman along the coastlines prepare their fishing gear for night fishing, as well as snap wonderful photographs. Following the boat cruise experience on Kazinga Channel, you will embark on an evening game drive to see some of the species you missed in the morning before returning to the lodge for supper and stay as described above.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector

On the fourth day of your 6-day safari to Kibale, Queen, and Bwindi Wildlife Safari you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide to go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours and you will pass through Ishasha sector for an interesting game drive where you will enjoy great views of the tree climbing lions which will be lying up in acacia/fig tree branches, as well as other animals such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hippos, and some bird species. After the game drive in the Ishasha sector, you will enjoy an en-route lunch before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will check into the lodge for supper and an overnight stay at Buhoma lodge (luxury), Buhoma haven lodge (midrange), or Buhoma community rest camp (Budget).

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi: After an early breakfast on the fifth day of your 6-day Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi safari, you will meet your driver guide and go to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a habituated gorilla family to travel with and a park guide who is well-versed in various gorilla paths. Because gorillas tend to roam from one location to another in search of food, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park might take anything from 30 minutes to 6 hours. During your trip, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of various primates, animals, flora, and bird species.

Once the gorillas are located, you will be permitted to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to learn more about their behaviors, observe them as they go about their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, and playing, take photos, and record the moments to show people back home. After your thrilling encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters to meet your driver guide for the transport back to the lodge for supper and sleep, as described above.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala

Departure to Kampala: After a leisurely breakfast on the final day of your 6-day safari in Kibale, Queen, and Bwindi Wildlife Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet your guide for the ride back to Kampala.
