Luxury Family Cottage
Gorilla Leisure is one of the few lodges in Rushaga-Bwindi, featuring a family cottage with a spacious living area, and two bedrooms, each with a bathroom and strong water pressure. The suites also feature an outside terrace to spend quality time with loved ones. The family cottage is perfect if you seek a spot for a family-friendly hotel to travel to with little children.
Luxury Single Cottage
Each of the seven single-room cottages is tucked away in a peaceful jungle atmosphere that allows visitors to connect with nature uninterrupted. Their balconies stand out as a perfect spot to relax while holding a book in one hand and a hot cup of coffee from Uganda in the other.
The rooms are roomy and have good ventilation so that you may enjoy the pristine freshness of the forest. You will have a hot water bottle at night to warm your bed.

Gorilla Trekking Experience at Gorilla Leisure Lodge
There are seven habituated gorilla families active for gorilla trekking in the Rushaga gorilla sector,
- namely Nsongi Gorilla family (8 individuals – 1 silverback)
- Busingye Gorilla Family (12 individuals – 1 silverback)
- Mucunguzi gorilla Family (8 individuals – 1 silverback)
- Mishaya Gorilla Family (10 individuals -1 silverback)
- Bweza Gorilla Family (12 individuals – 3 silverbacks)
- Kahungye (14 individuals – 2 silverbacks)
- Rwigi gorilla Family (6 individuals – 1 silverback)
There are 56 gorilla permits active for gorilla tacking daily in the Rushaga Gorilla Sector, and you can be part of the trek for the price of a gorilla trekking permit costing US$700 for each person.
Gorilla Habituation Experience
The Rushaga Gorilla Sector is the only gorilla sector where travelers can encounter the gorilla habituation experience; up to 6 people are allowed to engage in this experience – at the moment, there is only one gorilla family consisting of ten individuals. Gorilla habituation experience costs US$ 1,500 per person. There are two gorilla Families, Bikyingi Gorilla Family, and Bushaho Gorilla Family, which are being habituated.
Nature Walks
The park offers guided nature walks and bird-watching adventures to visitors. some of the wildlife you can see on these nature walks include see many primates like L’Hoest’s Monkey, blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus and baboons, on this walk you can opt to partake the 3 hour waterfall trail descends into a steep valley dripping with giant tree ferns, then climb upwards through a narrow, stream-filled fissure in the cliff face to reach a towering, rock-walled atrium containing a cascade of more than 30m.
